2020 Education Bills in NM Session

A majority of Viante’s score is based on how elected officials vote bills that align with Viante’s core values. Viante’s nonpartisan board selects its bills AFTER the end of the session in order to avoid confusion with amendments.

During the session, our board actively monitors all bills that may impact our education metrics as potential focus bills.  Viante monitors bills that impact the following metrics:

• Pre-K Quality and enrollment
• Fourth Grade Reading and Math Scores
• Percent of the Budget that Reaches the Classroom, Including Teacher Pay
• High School Graduation and College Readiness

Viante will unveil final scores after the 2020 legislative session is complete.
